Father #3784
> The sculpture depicts both brutality and tenderness. The warmth and intimacy that is inevitably connected with our flesh – the tender embrace of a parent or the comforting contact of familiar skin – is turned into stone and metal. In a way, this sculpture is about being in love with the thing that controls you and keeps you close to it. It's about losing yourself and your persona to the figure of power. It's about surrendering to the one that you cannot but surrender to.
